ABOUT INNOVIVE
Innovive Inc. was founded in 2004 with the goal of radically transforming the economics and convenience of working with laboratory animals.

Since Innovive started without preconceived notions or legacy systems, its engineers were free to incorporate new technologies and novel methods.

Our engineers, using the latest CAD design and manufacturing systems, designed a product of superior quality and performance. The Innovive Disposable System has been repeatedly independently tested and validated to assure trouble-free operation.

Innovive's global manufacturing and distribution network allows the most advantageous pricing and delivery terms, while maintaining the highest levels of quality.

SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE:
Dr. Richard Lin
Dr. Lin is the President and co-founder of ExploraBioLabs, a San Diego-based contract research organization focusing on in vivo pharmacology research.

Dr. Lin has more than 20 years of academic research and industry drug development experience. Prior to founding Explora BioLabs, Dr. Lin was a Research Investigator at Ansata Therapeutics where he headed the group responsible for the preclinical development of Ansata's novel antimicrobial peptides in support of their advancement toward IND filing. Dr. Lin also served as head of the Physiology Department at Genset Corporation, where he led the effort to determine the in vivo functions of Genset's leading therapeutic proteins in the areas of obesity and diabetes.

In addition to his experience in preclinical drug development research, Dr. Lin also actively engages in biotech community development. He currently serves on the Board of Taiwan-America Biotech Association. He is also an active member of the American Association of Cancer Research. Dr. Lin conducted his postdoctoral research at UC San Diego Cancer Center, and received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley.

Dr. Ted Choi
Dr. Ted Choi has twenty years experience developing transgenic and knockout mouse models. He is the founder of Predictive Biology, Inc., a startup company using advanced genetics to develop more predictive mouse models for drug discovery research. He is also the acting research director at Artis Optimus, a cell biology company developing primary cell lines from knockout mouse models.

Dr. Choi also serves on the External Advisory Committee for the Center for Rodent Genetics at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences at the NIH. Previously, he was the Director of Molecular Genetics at Deltagen, overseeing target validation, drug metabolism and transgenics technology development programs. Dr. Choi has led research teams developing engineered mouse models at Parke-Davis Pharmaceuticals, Sequana Therapeutics, and GenPharm International.

Dr. Choi received his PhD in Biology from MIT in 1990.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Animal Welfare
The Innovive system is the only solution available today that guarantees a new, fresh cage for every change-out. This provides increased insurance against the potential spread of disease.

Our patent-pending ventilation has been demonstrated to maintain lower levels of NH3 and CO2 than other systems on the market, while at the same time eliminate air velocity inside the cage. Our blowers are quiet and vibration free.
And perhaps most rewarding of all, our customers report that their animals breed better in Innovive cages – a great indication that we’re succeeding in our quest.

Well-being of staff
Cage wash operations are a difficult job to perform and manage. It is typically one of the highest grievance, turnover and absenteeism positions in a research institution. Tough working conditions and high allergen exposure continue to be topics the industry aspires to address.

By adopting Innovive in whole, or in part, this function can be reduced or even eliminated. Personnel in this area can be re-deployed to other less physically straining jobs. Innovive also improves the lives of technicians. Our ultra-light cages speed cage changes. Our lightweight racks, equipped with high-temp soft casters make the equipment easy to move and reposition.

Technicians can use all the time saved to perform more science-related functions, such as supporting researchers, assisting with health checks and more. After all, they chose this field because they enjoy the role they play in the bigger picture. Innovive takes them closer to this objective.

Environmental stewardship
Our System eliminates the very high energy, water and detergents consumption associated with daily washing and sterilizing of cages. We work closely with our customers and third parties to adopt recycling and waste to energy solutions. From product design, material choices, transportation options and end use management, we take our responsibility as a provider of disposable caging seriously.
